NDIS Funding

Each individual’s situation is unique, and thus, we offer tailored services to accommodate everyone. Although a significant portion of our clientele benefits from governmental assistance via the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), there are occasions when this aid does not encompass all of their requirements, or immediate care necessitates private funding. Regardless of your financing approach, we deliver adaptable solutions to ensure you receive the necessary support. Further details about our services can be explored below.

My Aged Care

My Aged Care funding is a pivotal component of Australia’s aged care system, designed to ensure older Australians can access essential support and care services. This funding structure aims to provide financial assistance to those who need aged care services but might be facing financial constraints. Here’s an outline of how the funding works:

1. Government Subsidies: The Australian Government provides subsidies to aged care providers to deliver care to older individuals. The amount of subsidy depends on the level and type of care provided, as well as the individual’s specific care needs assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).

2. User Fees and Contributions: While the government covers a portion of the costs, individuals may also be required to contribute towards their care. This can include a basic daily fee, a means-tested care fee (for those with a higher income or assets), and in some cases, an accommodation payment, depending on the service type and provider.

3. Home Care Packages: For those receiving care at home, funding is allocated in the form of Home Care Packages. These packages are tiered from level 1 to 4, where each level represents a different funding amount and care support level, designed to meet the varying needs of individuals.

4. Residential Care Funding: For older individuals entering residential aged care, funding is also available to cover accommodation costs, daily living support, and clinical services. The actual amount contributed by the individual is determined through a means assessment.

5. Supplements and Additional Funding: Special supplements are available for those with unique care needs, such as dementia care or veterans. These supplements are meant to cover additional costs that standard funding may not fully address.

6. Financial Assessment: To determine the amount of government assistance and the individual’s contribution, a formal financial assessment is conducted by the Department of Human Services. This takes into account income and assets, ensuring that care remains affordable for everyone.

My Aged Care funding is structured to promote equity in access to aged care services, ensuring that the necessary support is available to those who need it, regardless of their financial situation.

Private Funding Options

Government subsidies significantly contribute to facilitating access to in-home care and support services for the majority of Australians. However, circumstances may arise where the subsidy provided is insufficient to meet the comprehensive care needs of individuals or their family members. In such instances, the engagement of privately funded services could be a viable or preferable option.

Within the framework of the aged care system, government contributions are often determined through a means assessment, requiring older Australians to contribute financially towards their services, either as a financial contribution or a daily service fee. There are scenarios where the out-of-pocket costs might exceed the expenses of opting for care through a direct, fee-for-service model.

In urgent situations, where immediate care is necessary and waiting for government assistance is not feasible, our services can be mobilised promptly, often within 24 hours, to meet these critical care needs.

Our team of experienced care coordinators possesses comprehensive expertise across the NDIS and Aged Care sectors, offering guidance and support through every step of the process. We are committed to providing the necessary assistance and ensuring a seamless experience for you or your loved ones when navigating private funding options.
